We first tasted La Pastora at a deep-rooted family farm when visiting Costa Rica, and are excited to bring it to you. It's bright with citrus, melon, mango, and berry flavors with a raw sugar finish, as the coffee is honey processed alongside the family's organic fruit farm. Fanatic about ripeness, only the brightest red coffee cherries make the cut. That high level of attention to processing results in this exceptional coffee roasted locally at Boston Stoker. Finca La Pastora is located in Santa Maria de Dota region of Tarrazu. The farm has been in the same family for over 60 years. The owner Minor Esquival Picado, has divided the farm into 3 separate farms, 2 for his daughters and La Pastora which he has built his micro mill. One of the more innovative producers in the area with concern for environmental impact all of his coffee is honey processed and dried on African beds. Boston Stoker roasts this coffee exclusively for DLM, limited quantities, so get it while it lasts.
