Shipping Policies
Flat Rate Ground Shipping
Many of our gourmet pantry, bakery, and housewares products are eligible for Flat Rate delivery. If the order is placed before 3:00 pm EST Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday or 1:00 pm Friday it can likely ship that same day. Depending on the delivery address in relation to our headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, the estimated travel time for Flat Rate/Ground delivery is 1 to 7 business days. It is highly recommended, and at times required, that all perishable items arrive at their destination within two business days. This might require the shipment to be moved to the following Monday if placed on a Thursday or Friday. Please contact us if you have any additional questions about eligibility of your order and shipping options.
Two-Day Service
Order by 3:00 pm EST Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and your order can ship out the same day. Any orders placed after 3:00 pm EST Wednesday thru Sunday containing perishable products will ship the following Monday to ensure freshness.
Overnight Service
Order by 3:00 pm EST Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and your order can ship out the same day. We strongly recommend allowing extra time for weather delays or any uncontrollable events for which our preferred carrier does not guarantee delivery.
Please note: Our preferred carrier does not guarantee Two Day or Next Day delivery when uncontrollable events occur that cause delays. We, therefore, cannot guarantee delivery when the carriers claims weather delays or any uncontrollable events. We strongly encourage ordering all shipments allowing for such unexpected delays.
Saturday Delivery Service
Not available in all areas. For available areas, orders must be placed by 1:00 pm EST on Friday. We strongly recommend allowing extra time for weather delays or any uncontrollable events for which our preferred carrier does not guarantee delivery.
Warm-Weather Packing Charge
Your food can get quite hot on its way to you, and at DorothyLane.com we go to great lengths to ensure your food reaches you in the best possible condition. For that reason, you will see a $1.95 warm-weather packaging fee on orders requiring additional care from June 1 to September 30.

Arrival Dates
By default, the shipping options displayed are based on the cheapest method to get the products in your cart to the delivery address. Not quite ready for your delicious gift to arrive or need it on a specific day? During the checkout process, simply click 'Order Now, Ship Later' in the Delivery Method menu. From there, select any date on the calendar, up to three months in advance. The cheapest delivery method will be displayed for your selected arrival date, but to ensure on-time delivery we highly recommend using 2-Day or Next Day delivery. Please note: Our preferred carrier does not guarantee delivery when uncontrollable events occur that cause delays, so we recommend shipping early to allow for unexpected delays.

Signature Requirements
In order to prevent your recipient being required to be home to receive your package and the food potentially being damaged from multiple delivery attempts, we authorize our preferred carrier, in most cases, to leave your packages at the delivery address without a signature. All shipments containing alcohol do require an adult signature upon delivery. If you would like your package to require a signature upon delivery, please call us at 866-748-1391 to make that arrangement. *Additional fees may apply

P.O. Boxes, APO, and FPO
Unfortunately, we do not currently ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.

Local Deliveries
For local deliveries, we recommend that you choose our standard preferred carrier shipping options as they tend to be the most cost effective. However, if you would like us to ship via a local courier, please call us at 866-748-1391 and we would be happy to make this arrangement.

Alcohol Shipments
At this time, we are only able to ship within the state of Ohio.
An adult signature will be required upon the delivery of all packages that include alcohol. Due to the fragile nature of alcohol shipments and the need for an adult signature upon delivery, there is a $10.00 Special Services charge applied per address to all shipments containing alcohol as well as a handling fee of $6 per bottle.
Discounts and promotional codes do not apply to alcohol. Sales tax, however, will be charged as required.
Flat Rate shipping may not be available for shipments containing alcohol.
